Be a Reablement Support WorkerWhat is a Reablement Support Worker?
Are you looking for a job with lots of variety, and where you feel like you have really made a difference? We are looking for people to join our team of Reablement Support Workers in Oxfordshire, to support and motivate people who have been discharged from hospital to live in their own home with as much independence as possible.
The role involves working directly with people in their own homes, which means getting to know them as individuals, and understanding what is important to them, to help motivate them to regain lost skills and develop new ones. For example, the person you support may want to:
- Regain mobility to care for their pet
- Be able to prepare lunch for visiting family
- Get up and ready for the day independently
We are seeking caring, compassionate and enthusiastic people for these roles. You will need an awareness of the special requirements associated with older people, disabled and other vulnerable groups, although you do not need to have experience of working in a health or care setting before. This is a keyworker role demanding a high standard of care, and full training will be provided to ensure you feel confident and prepared for the job.
