Manage and mentor a team
There are a range of management roles available in social care – these include supervisory, first line manager (service manager/coordinator, residential unit manager) and middle manager (assistant director, project manager, department head) positions. You could progress to a senior management position such as chief executive or service director
You will be leading the service in a way that promotes choice, independence and control for all individuals. Your role may involve leading, managing, mentoring and supporting staff so they can perform their roles safely and to the best of their ability. You will also be working in partnership with other health and social care professionals.
A Managerial role may involve:
