Working in Adult Social Care

What is Adult Social Care?

Social care is the provision of services to support people with disabilities, mental illness, and those recovering from injury or illness.

This support allows people to live as independently as possible by providing assistance, activities, and care.

Will I always work on my own?

Working in social care could mean offering day to day support to someone in their home as a Domiciliary Care Worker, or you may be part of the hospitality team cooking meals for residents.

Lots of roles offer flexible working, so you can make work fit around you. 

No matter your level of experience, there are great on the job training opportunities to improve your skills, and help you progress up the career ladder.
